This release is the first true loop based project I’ve done and the first EDM tracks as well. This is the flipside of the Breaking News ep I did the previous week. This time focusing in on just the 24 hours commentary of the information coming out about the Japan disaster and using these samples to document the news on day 1, day 3, and after (the tracks are in chronological order of the news coming out of Japan and in the order of how I assembled them). To reflect the news it’s in a punishing drum & bass / jungle/ hardcore breakbeat style that effectively shows how things have gone from bad to worse in the last few weeks and with an epilogue that shows the real "panic" has been a “Western” reflection and not one that is actually being shown by the Japanese people themselves. While it may repetitive and harsh with many of the first 5 tracks immediately segwaying into the next and in a similar vein... that's part of the point.
